The present tense is the most fundamental tense in Spanish. You use it to describe what you do regularly, what is happening now, facts and opinions. This lesson covers all three verb groups, key irregular verbs, stem-changing verbs and the ser vs estar distinction.
Spanish verbs are divided into three groups based on their infinitive ending: -ar, -er, -ir.
