A calibrated predicted grade — and the weekly plan to lift it
A per-course GCSE or A-Level grade prediction backed by your actual quiz and exam history, plus a personalised AI-generated weekly study plan focused on your single highest-leverage weak topic.
The grade prediction itself is free. The AI study plan is part of the subscriber AI suite.
Three AI tools answer the question you ask. Grade Coach answers the question you should be asking.
The AI Tutor chat answers what you ask. Examiner Mode marks the answer you wrote. The Synoptic Tutor flags a prerequisite from another subject. Grade Coach is the only one of the four that tells you what to work on next — and exactly how much that effort is worth on your final grade.
How it works
Every quiz you take and every mock exam you sit on LearningBro feeds the prediction. Recent attempts count double — so the model tracks the version of you sitting the exam, not the version that started the course six months ago.
We blend your quiz and exam accuracy into a 0–100 performance score, then map it onto the actual GCSE 9–1 or A-Level A*–E band the exam board uses. The number you see is the grade you'd score today.
Click 'Generate study plan' and the AI writes you three short paragraphs: what you're doing well, the single highest-leverage topic to attack this week (and why), and roughly four hours of concrete actions — specific lessons to revisit and quizzes to retake.
Your dashboard puts the course where focused effort moves your overall grade the most right at the top. Doing a little bit of everything is the most common revision mistake; we sort the screen so you don't fall into it.
When to reach for it
Sunday-evening revision planning
You've got the week ahead and no idea which subject to prioritise. Open Grade Coach, pick the lowest-grade course, read the AI plan. The whole decision takes 90 seconds.
Mock exam season
Mocks dump a pile of half-honest information in your lap. Grade Coach metabolises it. The prediction shifts after each mock you sit; the AI plan adapts to the new weakest topic without you having to interpret a mark sheet.
Parents who ask 'how are you doing in Chemistry?'
The answer is now a real grade with a confidence band, not a guess. Honest about uncertainty too — if you've only done three quizzes, the confidence is 'low' and we say so out loud.
Honest about the model
The prediction is a recency-weighted blend of your quiz scores and mock-exam attempts, mapped to the real exam-board grade boundary. We don't pretend to model the forgetting curve or run a fancy item-response algorithm — that would feel more authoritative without actually being more accurate. If you've only done a handful of attempts, the confidence band says "low" and you should trust the headline number accordingly.

We've written a longer piece on the algorithm, what we deliberately left out of v1, and where Grade Coach sits next to the rest of the AI suite.
