Describing your town and local area is a core GCSE Spanish topic. You need to say what there is in your town, give opinions about where you live, give directions, and discuss advantages and disadvantages of town vs country life. 3. Giving Directions (Las direcciones)

Exam tip: Directions are commonly tested in listening and role-play exams. Practise both understanding directions and giving them. In the speaking exam, if you are asked for directions, use the tú imperative (tuerce, sigue, toma, cruza) or usted imperative if the context is formal (tuerza, siga, tome, cruce).
