Quick-Reference Strategy

1. Questions first. Read all 4 questions before reading the passage. Note the keywords.
2. Scan, do not read. Move your eyes quickly through the passage looking for your keywords.
3. Read only the relevant sentences. Once you find a keyword, read that sentence and the ones immediately before and after.
4. Answer and move. Do not re-read the whole passage for each question.

This is the single most effective speed technique for UCAT VR:

1. Read question 1 — note the key terms (names, dates, concepts)
2. Read question 2 — note the key terms
3. Read question 3 — note the key terms

6. As you scan, answer questions as you encounter the relevant information
