1. Read the statement first. Identify the claim, any qualifiers, and any specific details.
2. Scan for keywords. Locate the relevant section of the passage.
3. Compare strictly. Does the passage support, contradict, or not address the claim?
4. Ignore your opinions. Your political views, values, and beliefs are irrelevant. Only the passage matters.

Focus Notes for Social & Political Passages

These passages frequently feature:

• Statistics and surveys — "A poll found that 62% of respondents..." Does the statement match the poll's scope and findings?
• Policy details — dates, eligibility criteria, geographic scope. Watch for statements that broaden or narrow these.
• Opinions presented as facts — "Critics argue that..." This is an opinion attributed to critics, not a fact established by the passage.
• Multiple viewpoints — The passage may present both sides. A statement reflecting only one side may still be True if the passage confirms that viewpoint exists.
