Making Suggestions

There are many ways to suggest doing something in Spanish. The level of formality and directness varies:

Direct Suggestions

Podemos + infinitive	We can...	Podemos ir mañana

Tip: ¿Te apetece? is extremely common in Spain. In Latin America, ¿Tienes ganas de...? or ¿Se te antoja...? (Mexico) are more typical alternatives.

Saying no can be tricky. Here is how to do it without offending:

Tip: In Spanish culture, it is considered polite to give a reason when declining an invitation, even if it is vague. Simply saying "no" without explanation can feel abrupt.
